Police offer reward for information

leading to arrest in hit and run

    Suffolk County Police First Squad Detectives are asking for the public¹s
help in solving a motor vehicle crash that left a 26-year-old Amityville man
dead Feb. 23. 
    Lyndon Crowther was found lying in the roadway in front of 37 Park Ave.,
Amityville, the apparent victim of a hit and run. The driver of the vehicle
fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
    Anyone with information on this incident is being asked to call Crime
Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the
caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information
that leads to an arrest.
