Joseph Badamo: N. Massapequa Grand Knight
"My husband was a very special, caring person who never had a bad word about anyone," said his wife of 58 years, Angelina. Born in Brooklyn, he served in the U.S. Army. For 55 years he lived in North Massapequa and had retired after 42 years with the United States Customs Office based at the John F. Kennedy International Airport. For many years, he was an usher and volunteer at the Maria Regina R.C. Church in Seaford, and was a Grand Knight of The Knights of Columbus, Memorare Council. Mr. Badamo also leaves behind his children: Paul and Joseph; his sisters: Martha Fabbricante and Antoinette Bosco; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He reposed at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home on Feb. 27 and 28, 2008. A Celebration of the Liturgy was said at the Maria Regina Church in Seaford on February 29, 2009 followed by interment in the L.I. National Cemetery at Pinelawn.
