Ridgewood Savings Bank announced the expansion of its successful "branch-on-wheels" concept by bringing its full-service Mobile Banking Center to the doorsteps of The Bristal Assisted Living At Massapequa, an assisted living facility at 400 County Line Rd. This is the firstever program of its kind in New York State, according to bank officials and the New York State Banking Department.

On Feb. 5, The Bristal's residents walked out of the facility's front door to experience, for the first time, their personal mobile branch.

Ridgewood's first customer on site, Terry DeSimone, was very excited to learn that the Mobile Banking Center will visit The Bristal," said DeSimone.

Maria Leonardo, director of activities at The Bristal at Massapequa, said the mobile banking unit is a great concept. "It gives our residents access to their money without having to depend upon their children and enhances their sense of independence," she said.
