      Dean and Heather Highland, of East Yaphank, announce the birth of their daughter Sophia Anne, Feb. 2, 20087 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She weighed six pounds, six and one half ounces and was 19 and one half inches long. She joins her two-year-old sister Georgia Elizabeth.

      The Eagle Court of Honor for Troop 90 Scouts was recently held with Sean Joseph Buttigieg, John Michael Guarascio and Michael Anthony Sierzant attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Local officials attended the event to extend their congratulations to the Scouts and their families.
