Knights of Pythias to hold open meeting April 17

Mid Island Lodge No. 828 Knights of Pythias State of New York extends an invitation to community residents to attend its next open meeting, to be held Thurs., April 17, 8 p.m. at The North Albany Community Center, 214 North Albany Ave., Massapequa.

The organization will be presenting its highest award to Joan Geagan of Seaford for her many years as coordinator for the Coats for Kids Program. Her efforts and those of her family have provided warm coats for adults and children for the winter months in cooperation with the Knights of Pythias for the distribution of these coats. Through the donations by the residents of the Plainedge area, thousands of coats were provided for people in need over the years.

Information will be available for those interested in becoming a member of the Mid Island Lodge No. 828 Knights of Pythias. Refreshments will be served.
