Earth Day presentation at St. Rose April 24

On Thurs., April 24, 7:30 p.m. The Roundtable for Environmental Stewardship will present An Earth Day Practical Guide To Non-Toxic Living. Find ways to empower yourself to reduce yourself to reduce your everyday environmental risk of cancer and other disease. Beth Fiteni, of the environmental organization Neighborhood Network and featured on News 12 and Laura Weinberg of the Great Neck Breast Cancer Coalition will discuss issues regarding the delicate balance between your health and the environment. The program will be held at St. Rose of Lima Rectory meeting room, 2 Bayview Ave., Massapequa. Light refreshments will be available. A special Earth Day gift will be given to participants.

The Roundtable for Environmental Stewardship is a group of Catholics who seek to promote Environmental Social Justice as indicated by Pope Benedict. This is a Bi-Parish effort between St. Martin of Tours in Amityville and St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa.
