Farmingdale H.S. continues to "Go Green"

Mr. Kramer's contemporary global issues class at Farmingdale High School is doing its share to make a difference in the environment. The class won the first round of competition in the Scholastic/Lexus Environmental Challenge earlier this year by creating a recycling program within Farmingdale High School. The class is now ready to move onto the second phase of the competition which requires the class to enact the original plan on a larger scale.

As part of the second phase of competition, the contemporary global issues class is preparing for an Earth Day event. This event will raise awareness of environmental conservation issues in the local community. This will be the first event of its kinds in the Farmingdale community. The event will take place at the Village Green on April 19. The Farmingdale High School Contemporary Global Issues class continues their mission to save the planet with the help from local businesses, community groups and leaders that are willing to share their support for the April event.
