Bideawee to hold Furry Friends Festival April 26

Bideawee, one of the nation's oldest humane animal organizations, invites you to its Furry Friends Festival, Sat., April 26, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sun., April 27, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bideawee's Wantagh adoption center, 3300 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh. A qualified matchmaker will help you find the pet of your dreams. Training and behavioral questions will be answered by a Bideawee trainer. Get the opportunity to meet Bideawee dogs in the agility ring and learn about Bideawee's fostering program. There will be children's games, face painting, tattoos, refreshments and door prizes.

All of Bideawee's dogs and cats have been spayed/ neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, are micro-chipped and have been tested for canine heartworm and feline leukiemia/AIDS. The Purina Pets for People Program helps subsidize adoption costs for those 60 years and older who adopt adult or special needs pets.
