Bernadette Reynolds: 34-year 'Pequan

Longtime Massapequa resident and church volunteer, Bernadette Reynolds, died March 12, 2008. She was 74 years old.

She emigrated from Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland to Manhattan and met her future husband, Henry, when they both worked at Empire Blue Cross. They were married for 48 years.

For 34 years, she lived on Cherry Street in Massapequa and was a longtime volunteer at her church, St. William the Abbot in Seaford.

Mrs. Reynolds leaves behind her sons: Don of Ocean Cove and Mark of Massapequa; her grandchildren: Ryan, Katie, Brendan, Janine and Peter; and her siblings: Angela, Gabriel, Joe and Jarleth.

She reposed at the Massapequa Funeral Home, South Chapel, on March 15 and 16, 2008. A Mass was said on March 17, 2008 at St. William the Abbot R.C. in Seaford followed by interment at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.
