Brian Minowitz and mom attend math event in Massapequa On April 5, a county-wide event promoting mathematics for elementary school children and their parents was held at Massapequa High School. In attendance were Brian Minowitz and his mother Miriam Minowitz of Massapequa.
The sponsoring organizations, The Nassau County Math Teachers Association and the Nassau County Association of Math Supervisors, put together this event so that the learning mathematics can become more than just an experience found within school buildings. Students and their parents participated in workshops that demonstrated the ways in which mathematics can be learned.
