Bobbie Anne Baratta: Woodward Parkway School employee

Longtime South Farmingdale resident and Farmingdale School District employee Bobbie Anne Baratta died April 2, 2008. She was 72 years old. For 34 years before her retirement she was manager of the cafeteria at Woodward Parkway School.

Born in New York City, she moved to Lockwood Avenue in South Farmingdale with her husband Louis, and lived there for 49 years. When her chil­dren were young, she was a Girl Scout Leader and was involved in the homemaker’s club. In addition to her husband of 56 years, Mrs. Baratta also leaves behind her children: Louis and his wife Grace, Deborah and her husband Steven and Doreen Steinkraus; her siblings: Thomas Riccio and Joan Vitale; her grandchildren: Christopher, Melissa, Juliet and her husband Adam, Jillian, Lisa, Nina, Andrew and Philip; and her fivegreat grandchildren; and other family and many friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diane.

She reposed at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home in Bethpage on April 4, 2008. A Funeral Mass was said April 5, 2008 at St. Kilian R.C. Church in Farmingdale. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn.
