Massapequan performs in LI Ballet Competition Massapequa High School student, Shana Goldberger, competed in the LI Ballet Competition, (LIBC) , Sat., May 3 and Sun., 4 at the Maguire Theater at SUNY Old Westbury. Goldberger, 15,competed in the pre-professional division. The Massapequa High School sophomore has already garnered recognition from dance critics: "... Goldberger... has a lovely flowing style and unerring musicality." A winner of several dance comp etitions, Goldberger looked forward to the ballet centered format of the LIBC.
Attracting 54 competitors, from Brooklyn to Suffolk's East End, the LIBC featured local competitors as well. In photo, Shana Goldberger is shown performing.
