In addition, named to the dean's list at the State University of New York at Cortland for the spring semester: From Massapequa are Cheryl Dillon, Susan Dittrich, Adam Gottlieb, Sara Heuther, Bradley Kaufman, Michael McHale, Brian McLachan, Courtney Metelitz, John Modena, Michael O'Connor, Michael Papa, Audrey Rizzo, Elizabeth Rotheim and Danielle Torre; from Massapequa Park are Molley Friedman and Kaitlin Keogh; from North Massapequa are Christina D'Amico and Jade LaFemina and from Farmingdale are Erin Garvey, Heather Kramer, Nicole Woessner and Vanessa Wolf. •Lauren Fink, of Massapequa, a student at Farmingdale State College, was honored recently by the Interim Chancellor of the State University of New York by receiving the Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. She is a professional communications major there. •Cristan Nedbalsky, of Massapequa Park, earned a Bachelor's degree in environmental design from Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts, Syracuse, New York. He received the 2008 Environmental Design Award, presented by the Department of Design. Nedbalsky is the sole recipient of this award. •The following local residents have graduated from Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania: Megan Marie Hillin, of Massapequa, received a bachelor of arts in engineering and Adam Douglas Lambert received a bachelor of arts in government and law. •Janessa Myers, of North Massapequa, graduated magna cum laude from Lasell College, Newton, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion and retail merchandising.
•Matthew Giannattasio, of Massapequa, a senior at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, received the Superior Scholarship in Computer Science Award at the college's May 17 Spring Honors Day ceremonies.
