Saladino supports veterans

Assemblyman Joseph Saladino held a press conference in Albany with the New York State Council of Veterans Organizations and members of the State Legislature to call on lawmakers to enact a series of bills that would improve the quality of life for veterans and honor their service to our country.

Saladino is an honorary member of the Sunrise Detachment Marine Corp League in Massapequa. He recently provided a New York State grant to assist in replacing the roof of their building.

Shown, standing between two of his colleagues, Assemblyman George Amedore (Rotterdam, left) and Assemblyman Daniel J. Burling (Warsaw, right), Assemblyman Saladino illustrated the point that the state must support veterans of all ages. Assemblyman Saladino stated, "We must leave no stone unturned. We must all come together to be on the same team in order to support those who have given us so much. Thanks to our veterans, we have been able to keep our freedoms, our jobs and our system of government. It is our turn to protect them."
