•Senior Connections Information and Referral Ser­vice will be at the Central Avenue Library, Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon and at the Bar Harbor Library, Monday and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon. For information call 798-4607, extension 322.

•The Harbor Lane Library will host Advanced Su­doku, tonight, Wed., July 2, 7 p.m. Review basic strategies and more advanced techniques.

•The movie Stage Door Canteen will be shown Thurs., July 3, 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library. The film was made available from the archives of Long Island film make3r and movie his­torian John Carpenter. •Both locations of the Massapequa Public Library will be closed Independence Day, Fri., July 4.

• The Contemporary Book Discussion Group will meet Tues., July 8, 12:30 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library. This month's book is One Soldier's Story by Bob Dole. •On Wed., July 9, 2 p.mk. author Patrick Fenton will read from his recent collection of short stories, Stoop­dreamer and Other Brooklyn Stories, about a lost part of Windsor Terrace Brooklyn, a teeming Irish and Italian blue collar enclave that was destroyed when master builder Robert Moses ran the Prospect Expressway through it in 1954. • The Short Story Group will meet Mon., July 7, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Copies are available at the refer­ence desk. •S program on social skills will be held Mon.,. July 7, 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. for children entering kindergarten and up with special needs. The class will be led by a New Yorki State certified special education teacher. Registration is underway. •Game time for seniors will be held Wed., July 9, 1:30 p.m. along with traditional board and card games, the library has recently purchased a Nintendo Wii. All are welcome.
