Opposition to drilling by Congress is a pain in the gas

Dear Editor: Congress has received a plan for drilling for more oil in the good old U.S.A. The oil is in the ground under the Atlantic

Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, Montana and North Dakota. Our do-nothing, no-drill Congress thinks we should have less oil for our homes and less gas for our cars. The do-nothing Congressional legislators think we should wear extra sweaters in the winter, put up with cold homes and ice cold showers. The legislators that think that way are crazy and they should retire from Congress.

This year I am voting for a pro oil drilling President and Congress. We need our oil and we can have a clean environment and pro growth economy. After all who wants to go back to the bad old days in the 1930s. Let's drill for oil and prosperity.

Ernest A. Howell, Massapequa
