Maria Regina school dress-down day fundraiser

This year, on Sept. 11, everyone at Maria Regina School in Seaford honored the victims and families of the 9-11 terrorist attacks in a productive and positive way. In addition to prayer services in individual classrooms, and a Mass for 7th and 8th graders, the school participated in a fundraiser for the "New York Says Thank You Foundation".

Many people from all over the United States came to help in New York after the tragedy of 9-11-01. The New York Says Thank You Foundation was formed to recognize the kindness extended to us by these volunteers. Students paid $1 to "dress down" one day, and wore red, white and blue. The money raised was sent to the foundation. In photo, students are shown at the dress-down event.
