NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the Massapequa Water District will receive sealed proposals to purchase from the Massapequa Water Dis­trict the motor vehicles and equipment described below, at the office of the District at 84 Grand Avenue, Mas­sapequa, New York 11758 at 9:15 a.m., Local Time on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The motor ve­hicle is: One (1) 1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Station Wagon

The form of proposal and other bid documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the office of the Massapequa Water District between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Lo­cal Time, through Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope or other cover, should be ad­dressed to Board of Water Commissioners, Mass­apequa Water District, 84 Grand Ave, Massapequa, N.Y. 11758, and should be entitled "Vehicle Bid". Each proposal must be ac­companied by a bid secu­rity deposit in the form of cash or a certified check or official bank check pay­able

to Massapequa Water District in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, subject to the conditions more particularly described in the BID TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The vehicle hereinabove de­scribed are offered for sale "As Is" and "Where Is." The attention of prospec­tive

bidders is particularly directed to the condition of the 1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Station Wagon as more particularly described in the BID TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Arrangements to inspect the trucks and equipment may be made by calling Mr. Andrew Colapinto, the District's Supervisor of Water Plant Operations, at telephone number (516) 798-5266. Inspections may be made between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon, and between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M., all Local Time, Monday through Friday the week of June 15, 2009 to June 19, 2009. Vehicle maintenance records are available upon request. The Board of Water Com­missioners of the District reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any and all bids, or to accept that bid which, in its judgment, is in the best in­terests of the District. Law Section 3651, to be initially funded with the $820,000 balance of pro­ceeds

of said sale and/or transfer from fund balance. NOTICE IS HEREBY FUR­THER GIVEN that any person otherwise qualified to vote who is currently registered to vote in an elec­tion district of the County of Nassau or part thereof whose boundaries lie with­in this school district will be entitled to vote without further registration. Unless a person is entitled to vote by virtue of such reg­istration in an election dis­trict or part thereof whose boundaries lie within the school district, pursuant to Section 2014 of the Educa­tion Law, personal registra­tion of voters is required, and no person shall be en­titled

to vote at the Special District Meeting whose name does not appear on the register of the district.

The Board of Registration of said school district will meet in the District Office,241 Wyngate Drive, North Massapequa, New York on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M., prevail­ing time, at which time and place said Board of Reg­istration will prepare the register of the said school district for the aforesaid Special District Meeting and any person shall have the right to have his name placed on said register who presents himself person­ally to said Board, provided that at such meeting of the Board of Registration he is known or proven to the sat­isfaction of such Board of Registration to be then or thereafter entitled to vote at said Special District Meet­ing for which the register is prepared.
