Councilman Joseph G. Pinto, at left Town of Oyster Bay, was on hand to officially commemorate the Massapequa restaurant's opening in the Sunrise Promenade on Sunrise Highway, as he, and Christopher Schneider of Senator Fuschillo's office,at right, broke bread with Greg George, Vice President of Operations for Panera Bread. The bakery-cafe, which opened last Monday, conveys a welcoming coffeehouse atmosphere, but serves everything from breakfast soufflés and hand-tossed salads to signature sandwiches and soup in edible sourdough bread bowls. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Friday; from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and from 7 a.m., to 9 p.m., Sunday.
