The Massapequa Park Lions Club is holding a membership drive to increases its membership. Thetime commitment for a new member is individual according to interest and availability. Thegroup's month­ly general meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday of the month. For information, contact 795-8543. The members of the Lions Club try to live the group's motto of "We Serve." TheLions Club sup­ports many local charities but has a special interest in sight-related causes. The group tries to visit the Vacation camp for the Blind once or twice a year to help spruce up the fa­cilities. Members regularly serve din­ner at the Ronald McDonald House at Long Island Jewish Hospital. Some members are cornea transporters for the Long Island Eye Bank. Funds are raised for the group's yearly scholar­ship and other local causes. The Li­ons are committed to supporting the Guide Dog Foundation.
