MPK Church of the Nazarene holds free VBS June 29 - July 3
      The Church of the Nazarene in Massapequa Park invites all children, ages five to 12, to join in its Vacation Bible School, for a prayer safari adventure, June 29 through July 3, 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. There will be songs, skits, crafts,games, Bible stories and snacks. Children will be helped to know God through prayer.

Plainedge teens host Buddy Volleyball
      Buddy Volleyball was recently hosted by Teens for Cerebral Palsy which is a group of teens who buddy up with children who are physically challenged.       The Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island will feature Daniel T. Williams, M.D. at a workshop on Tues. July 14. Dr. Williams is an attending psychiatrist at Columbia Uni­versity Medical Center and a special lecturer in psychol­ogy at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.

BHS Class of 1959 reunion planned for July, 2009
      The Babylon High School Class of 1959 will be holding its 50th reunion. There will be a tour of the high school on Friday afternoon and the dinner will be held that evening at the Irish Coffee Pub in Islip on July 12. A barbecue will be held on Sat., July 18 at the Babylon Village Pool.

      Boy Scout Troop 776 of Massapequa held an Ea­gle Court of Honor for Michael Randazzo, Jr. Nas­sau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt was on hand present a Special Legislative Citation to mark the accomplishment. Schmitt proclaimed May 22, 2009 as Eagle Scout Michael Randazzo, Jr. Day in Nassau County.
