Daleview Care Center, located in Farmingdale, celebrated National Volunteer Week by hosting a festive brunch for dozens of volunteers who regularly visit the facility to volunteer their time in a variety of capacities.

The festivities included a buffet brunch and beautiful spring decorations of vibrant flowers and balloons as volunteers were called up one by one and honored for their service. Town dignitaries including Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias, Farmingdale Mayor George "Butch" Starkie, Deputy Mayor Patricia Christiansen and Village Trustee Cheryl Parisi all spoke at the event, congratulating the volunteers for their service. Four students from the Farmingdale High School Honor Society were also recognized for their volunteer participation.
