State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., fourth from right, recently joined with officials from the Village of Mas­sapequa

Park, Town of Oyster Bay, and members of VFW Post 7763 in break­ing ground on the Village's new Veter­ans Memorial. The memorial, which will honor community members who served in the military, will be located at the northwest corner of Sunrise Highway and Park Boulevard. Senator Fuschillo secured state funding to offsetthe costs of constructing the memorial. Accord­ing to the Village, construction on the memorial is expected to be completed by the end of the summer.
