New York National Guard promotion of soldiers

Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Taluto, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capabilities for additional responsibility and leadership.

Steven Cruz from Farmingdale, serving with Company B-642d Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

John Barbato from Massapequa, serving with Troop C 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Private 1st Class.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
