Dr. Cynthia Paulis is an international and medical lecturer and a new member of the Long Island Writers’ Guild. After 29 years of practicing emergency medicine, she retired in May to pursue her dream of writing. A former medical reporter for CBS in Texas, Dr. Paulis had her own weekly show delivering health care information and taking live on-air questions from the viewing public. She is working on a book of short stories about her experiences in the Emergency Room.
