MSD to hold meeting about staff changes
The Massapequa School District will be holding a special meeting Thurs., June 17. The agenda includes discussion about a reorganization of principals throughout the district. In addition, the school board will be discussing adding two new positions to Central Office administration. Schools that are likely to get new principals are McKenna, Fairfield, Lockhart, Berner, Ames and Massapequa High School.
At a recent school board meeting parents of Lockhart students expressed concern about the impact of the change on their school and asked the board to reject the plan.
The meeting is at 8 p.m. at Berner Middle School, 50 Carman Mill Rd., Massapequa.
