Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah class offered at Temple B’nai Torah

Beginning in fall, 2010, and culminating in a celebratory Shabbat service in spring, 2012, members of Temple B’nai Torah of Wantagh will have the opportunity to study Jewish heritage in a new, meaningful, and profound manner. Were you unable to celebrate your own Bar/Bat Mitzvah during your childhood? Do you wish you could engage in an intensive, long-term course of Jewish study? Do you want to fillin the gaps in your Jewish understanding? Rabbi Bellows, Cantor Sher, and Rabbi Pasternak invite you to sign up for the upcoming Adult B’nai Mitzvah class.
Participants will be expected to attend weekly classes during the school year, to prepare all required reading and writing assignments, and to prepare their portions for the final service. There will be no fee for the class, other than the costs associated with course books and materials. Knowledge of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet and vowels is a prerequisite.
