TOBAY Music Under the Stars continues

Big Shot, The Grass Roots and Andy Cooney are just some of the scheduled performers for the fifth week of the 2010 Town of Oyster Bay Music Under the Stars concert series, according to Town Supervisor John Venditto. Night Fever and ABBAMANIA will kick off the week with a perfor­mance at Ellsworth W. Allen Town Park, Motor Avenue, Farmingdale, on Mon., Aug. 2, 8 p.m. Theperfor­mance is being co-sponsored by State Senator Kemp Hannon. On Tues., Aug. 3, 8 p.m., Long Island’s very own Big Shot will be performing at Tobay Beach in Massapequa. The performance is being co-sponsored by Blackman Plumbing Products and As­semblyman Joseph S. Saladino. Rick Alviti will take center stage as Elvis on Wed., Aug. 4, 8 p.m. as a trib­ute

to the king in honor of his 75th birthday. The performance will be at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park, Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury. TheNas­sau Radiologic Group and Senator Carl L. Marcellino will be co-sponsoring the performance. On Fri., Aug. 6, 8 p.m., Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park & Beach, Larabee Avenue, Oyster Bay will rock with the sound of TheGrass Roots, fea­turing Rob Grill. The performance is being co-sponsored by Senator Carl L. Marcellino and Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano. Rounding out the fifth week at John J. Burns Town Park, Merrick Road, Mas­sapequa on Sat., Aug. 7, 8 p.m. will be a performance by Andy Cooney featur­ing special guests Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers. The performance will kick off at 8 p.m. and is being co-spon­sored by Senator Kemp Hannon.

The2010 Music Under the Stars sum­mer concert series takes place over 24 nights throughout July and August at various locations throughout the Town of Oyster Bay. Shows are free to Town residents.
