Please meet our local scholars •Named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Rider University, Lawrenceville, New Jersey are Massapequa residents Steven Suntzenich and Briana Wallace and Massapequa Park resident Paige McAtee.•Linda Marie D’Anna, of Massapequa, received a Ph.D. In ecology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the daughter of Karen and Joseph D’Anna and a 1993 graduate of Massapequa High School. •Jane E. Hogan, of Massapequa Park, a history major, was named to the dean’s list for the second semester at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire. •Brian Irvine, of Massapequa, a sophomore major in information systems audit and control, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts. •Hannah Goess, of Massapequa, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. •Lauren Bedard, of Massapequa, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Providence Collee, Providence, Rhode Island. •Ronald Wilcox, of Massapequa, was named to the dean’s list at the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, for the spring semester. •Named to the dean’s list at Seton Hall University, South Orange New Jersey, for the spring semester are Massapequa residents Catherine Bingham and Megan Shanel Jones and Ryan Murphy of Massapequa Park. Two local residents have graduated from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Erik Olson, of Massapequa, received a bachelor of arts degree from the University’s College of Arts and Science majoring in economics. William Scheurer, of Massapequa Park, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from the University’s Wallace E. Carroll School of Management with majors in finance, economics and accounting. •Massapequa Park resident Justin C. Breslau received a bachelor of arts in May from the College of Arts and Sciences at Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. •Rina Skorupski, of Massapequa, earned dean’s list honors at Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the spring semester. •Leslie-Ann Cardone, of Massapequa, made the honors list for the spring semester at Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Robert and Lois Cardone and a graduate of Massapequa High School. •Melissa S.
