Purpose: any lawful purpose. 6x 1/26/11 #807-POST PLAINEDGE UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT TOWN OF OYSTER BAY COUNTY OF NASSAU, NEW YORK NOTICE OF SPECIAL DISTRICT MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special District Meeting of the voters of the Plainedge Union Free School District will be held at the Plainedge High School, Wyngate and Peony Drives, North Massapequa, New York on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 between the hours of 1:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M., prevailing time. Voting shall be conducted by voting machines on the proposition set forth below. PROPOSITION Shall the following proposition be adopted, to wit: RESOLVED that the existing District transportation eligibility policy shall be modified effective February 10, 2011 for grades 6 through 8 from the existing 1.5 mile limit to a new .26 mile limit from school, which modification would result in an increase in the 2010-2011 budget estimated at $50,000. Grade K-5 transportation eligibility will be .75 miles and grades 9-12 eligibility will be 1.5 miles. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that any person otherwise qualified to vote who is currently registered to vote in an election district of the County of Nassau or part thereof whose boundaries lie within this school district will be entitled to vote without further registration. Unless a person is entitled to vote by virtue of such registration in an election district or part thereof whose boundaries lie within the school district, pursuant to Section 2014 of the Education Law, personal registration of voters is required, and no person shall be entitled to vote at the Special District Meeting whose name does not appear on the register of the district. The Board of Registration of said school district will meet in the District Office, 241 Wyngate Drive, North Massapequa, New York on Thursday, February 3, 2011 between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M., prevailing time, at which time and place said Board of Registration will prepare the register of the said school district for the aforesaid Special District Meeting and any person shall have the right to have his name placed on said register who presents himself personally to said Board, provided that at such meeting of the Board of Registration he is known or proven to the satisfaction of such Board of Registration to be then or thereafter entitled to vote at said Special District Meeting for which the register is prepared. Remove cantilevered dock, and replace with a four (4) foot by six (6) foot platform, a three (3) foot by fourteen (14) foot ramp, and an eight (8) foot by twenty (20) foot float. Remove and replace deck landward of the bulkhead. Maintenance dredge the area up to ten (10) feet seaward of the bulkhead to a maximum depth of four (4) feet below mean water level. Use dredged material as back fill for reconstructed bulkhead only.
