•The Harbor Lane Library will host a holiday winter show performed by Glamor-Is-Us, Sun., Dec. 4, 2 p.m. Lee Knight and Sheila McPherson will perform Christmas favorites.

• Volunteers will be at the Library to help with Enhanced STAR and senior citizen tax exemption. The volunteers will be at the Central Avenue branch on Thurs., Dec. 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the Harbor Lane branch, Fri., Dec. 9, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

•A trip to Manhattan and Brooklyn for a holiday night light tour and early dinner at Pietrasanta Restaurant will be held Thurs., Dec. 8, 1:30 to 9 p.m. The fee is $81 per person. Registration is underway.

•Michael Berk will explain how long-term care planning can be beneficial, Thurs., Dec. 1, 2 p.m.

•Grandparent time will be held Fri., Dec. 2, 10 a.m. for all ages with a grandparent. Seating is first come, first served.

•Disney storytime fun will be held Mon., Dec. 5, 1:30 p.m. for all ages with a parent.

•The movie The Smurfs will be shown Mon., Dec. 5, 7 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.

•A program in Mexican cooking will be held Wed., Dec. 7, 7 p.m. The owners of Caracara Mexican Grill of Farmingdale will be the teachers.

•The Amityville Library will hold a bus trip to see the Christmas Show at Radio City Musical Hall, Wed., Dec. 7, leaving 8 a.m. After the show there will be lunch at a French restaurant, Les Sans Culottes, Second Avenue and 57th Street. The cost is $125 per person payable by check or money order.
