EWMMS in Amityville open tomorrow to provide storm relief

Edmund W. Miles Middle School in Amityville will open its doors to Amityville residents on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 to provide minor relief to local victims of Superstorm Sandy. The school, which is normally closed to students on this day (for Election Day), will open its doors from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

EWMMS will provide hot coffee and tea in the school cafeteria. EWMMS staff members will be on hand to assist visitors.

As noted, the building will remain open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. EWMMS is NOT equipped to accommodate residents overnight, therefore it is not a designated shelter. All Amityville residents are encouraged to stop by.
