Police seek public's help in finding dog that attacked and killed another dog

Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a dog that attacked and killed another dog Thurs., March 28 in Massapequa.

Police said that at approximately 8:30 p.m. a woman was walking her Yorkshire Terrier in the vicinity of Jomarr Place and Division Avenue when a large gray dog charged at her, knocking her to the ground. The dog then grabbed her Yorkie by the neck and pulled it from her arms.

The victim was able to fend off the attacking dog and returned home with her dog, which succumbed to its injuries.

The female victim did not suffer any injuries from the attack. Police ask anyone with information about this incident to contact the Seventh Precinct at 516-573-6700.
