NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed Proposals invited
by the Massapequa Water District (MWD) will
be received by the Board
of Commissioners, of the
Massapequa Water District, in the District Office, 84 Grand Avenue,
Massapequa, New York
on May 1, 2013 until 9:15
A.M., at which time the
proposals will be publicly
opened and read aloud,
for:
MASSAPEQUA WATER
DISTRICT
MAY PLACE
ELECTRICAL UPGRADES MASSAPEQUA PARK,
NEW YORK
Contract No. 1266625
This contract consists of
the installation of a new
Electric Service, Motor
Control Center, Horizontal Pumping Unit
and other electrical and
water piping additions
at the May Place Booster
Pumping and Tank Site.
Instructions to Bidders,
Proposal, Supplemental Bid Forms, Form of
Agreement, General
Conditions, Specifications and the Plans, herein called the “Contract
Documents”, may be
examined at the District
Office from 9:15 A.M.,
April 11, 2013 until 3:30
P.M. on April 25, 2013,
Mondays to Fridays.
Copies of the Contract
Documents will be available at that time and
place indicated.
A fee of $100.00 by check
or money order, payable
to the Massapequa Water District, will be required for each set of the

Contract Documents requested. Prospective bidders requesting contract
documents by mail must
remit an additional, nonrefundable, fee of $30.00
per set, to cover handling
and first class mailing.
For those Bidders that
submit a proper proposal
per these documents,
and are not successful,
and return the contract
documents to the MWD
in usable good condition
within 30 days following
the award of the contract;
the full amount of the fee
will be returned for the
first set of contract documents. No refund will be
made to non-bidders or
for contract documents
beyond the first set.
Wages and supplements
payable to all laborers,
workmen, and mechanics on this project shall
be paid at the prevailing
rates established under
the New York State Labor Law.
NOTE: THERE WILL
BE A MANDATORY INSPECTION ON Thursday, APRIL 25, 2013 AT
9:30 AM, at the site. This
will be the only chance
to inspect the SITE. The
DISTRICT will not accept visits to the site at
any other time.
