Navy SEAL from Massapequa laid to rest

Friday, May 24: Special Warfare Operator Third Class Jonathan Kaloust, 23, who died last week in a Humvee accident during training exercises was laid to rest today.

Kaloust was training at Fort Knox, Kentucky when a Humvee he was riding in overturned. Six other sailors were injured in the accident May 15.

 Kaloust was a Masssapequa High School graduate and wrestling star. He attended Binghamton University and joined the Navy in 2011.

 Funeral services were under the direction of the Massapequa Funeral Home and burial was in National Cemetery at Pinelawn.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Irene Kaloust, and a sister, Melanie.
