Politicians Knee-Jerk

Politicians Knee-Jerk Reactions have Unintended Consequences for All. This problem is a common occurrence with government at the federal, state and local levels. Politicians think they know what is best for us without using real facts and empirical data. Also a key element seems to elude their over taxed brains, no pun intended. The word "freedoms". Yes the freedoms afford every American citizens, even non-citizens in some cases, that our US Constitution provides. No salt, No large sodas, no sugar, no trans-fat, gun bans, freedom of speech for selective groups, no religion, etc. are all orders of the day from politicians who were elected, and some appointed, for other more critical reason to resolve. Yes we as a civilized society need some form regulations, rules and guidance. However, at every turn we see over regulation, which in many cases never are researched correctly to see if: 1) they deal with an issue, 2)if it resolves the problem without cause several more, and 3)if it harming the majority for the causes of a few illegal or misguided persons. We also see judges, no matter what level of jurisdiction, making legislative decisions from the bench causing more confusion and unintended consequences of which they have no authority to do so. They job is to referee two or more parties during a criminal or civil debate of right and wrong according to laws passed by legislators not their own beliefs. They also are to ensure federal and state constitutionality of those laws passed based on actual wording stated in those documents, not interpretation based what it should be stating. Both politicians and judges fail to comprehend if they think any Constitution, US or state, there are processes to change them which in every case require approval from the people not just the unilateral actions of elected or appointed officials. Politicians and judges claim to be highly educated yet they, together with many special interest groups, have made civilization unbearable, confusing and stressful. If they don not change, and quickly, to resolve real serious issues the next 3-10 years they will see a global disaster dealing with economics, water, food, urban living conditions and some geopolitical situations. They and us could be viewing the discontinuance of life as we know it today!!!

Was the the beheading of a woman in Moore, Oklahoma on Fri., Sept. 26 an act of terrorism on American soil, or an isolated incident involving a mentally deranged individual acting alone?
