Board of Fire Commissioners of the NORTH MASSAPEQUA FIRE DISTRICT,

York, on the 6th day of
January, 2014, subject to
permissive referendum as
provided for by the General
Municipal law.
An extract of the resolution

RENOVATION OF THE
EXTERIOR FACILITIES
AT HEADQUARTERS
BUILDING TO INCLUDE
AN AWNING/CANOPY AND ASSOCIATED
WORK, INCLUDING INCIDENTAL EXPENSES,
ADVERTISING, ARCHITECTURAL FEES, ENGINEERING FEES, AND
ATTORNEY’S FEES AT
A COST, INCLUDING
COSTS ASSOCIATEDWITH SUCH TRANSACTION NOT TO EXCEED
TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND ($25,000.00) DOLLARS WITH FUNDS

Each proposal submitted must be accompanied
by a certified check or
bid bond, made payable
to the NORTH MASSAPEQUA FIRE DISTRICT,
in an amount equal to five
percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a
commitment by the bidder
that, if its bid is accepted, it
will enter into a contract to
perform the work and will
execute such further security as may be required for
the faithful performance
of the contract. Certification of bonding company
is required for this bid, see
Instructions for Bidders
section.
Each bidder shall agree to
hold his/her bid pricefor
forty five (45) days after the
formal bid opening.
A pre-bid meeting and
walk thru is scheduled
for 9:00 a.m. Wednesday
January 29, 2014. Potential
bidders are asked to gather
at the site, at which time
they will be escorted to the
areas of work. The owner
will require that all attending this walk through park
their vehicles on Hicksville
Road South of the fire station. This meeting is not
mandatory; however it is
highly recommended that
all potential bidders attend.
It is the Board of Fire Commissioners intention to
award the contracts to the
lowest qualified bidder
who can meet the experience, technical and budget
requirements. The Board
of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject any
or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such
bid which, in the opinion of
the Board of Fire Commissioners, is in the best interests of the District.
Bids include all costs associated with the project. By
submitting a bid, the bidder represents that they are
familiar with the site and
project conditions. Additionally prior to submitting
its bid, Contractor shall
make Architect and Owner
aware of any problems and/
or inconsistencies in the bid
documents.
