may be obtained beginning
October 10, 2014 at the office of the School District’s
Architect/Engineer, H2M
Architects + Engineers, 538
Broad Hollow Road – 4th
Floor East, Melville, New
York 11747, upon deposit
of One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) for each set furnished by check or money
order made payable to the
“FARMINGDALE UNION
FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT”. A Bidder’s deposit
will be refunded if the set
is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days
following the award of the
contract or the Board’s rejection of the bids covered
by such Plans and Specifications. Bidders or nonbidders may obtain additional
non-refundable Plans and
Specifications by transmitting a separate payment
of One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) for each set,
in the form of a check or
money order, made payable
to the “Farmingdale Union
Free School District” and
mailed to H2M Architects
and Engineers.
Bids must be made in the
standard proposal form
in the manner designated
therein and as required by
the Bid Specifications, and
must be enclosed in a sealed
envelope bearing the name
of the job and name and
address of the Bidder on
the outside, addressed to:

FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT,

with the following statement clearly marked on the
outside: “Bid For: Window
Replacement at Woodward
Parkway Elementary School
and Northside Elementary
School”.
Each proposal submitted
must be accompanied by
Bid Security in the form
of a certified check made
payable to the “FARMINGDALE UNION FREE
SCHOOL DISTRICT”, or
a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and
an acceptable surety, in an
amount equal to five percent
(5%) of the total amount of
the bid, as assurance that the
Bid is being made in good
faith and insuring that if the
Bid is accepted, the Bidder
will enter into a contract to
perform the work and will
execute such further security as may be required for
the faithful performance of
the contract. Certification
of bonding company is required for this bid (see: “Instructions for Bidders” section in Bid Specifications).
All Bid Security except that
of the successful bidder will
be returned. Each bidder
shall agree to hold his/her
bid price for forty-five (45)
days after the formal bid
opening.
A pre-bid meeting and walk
thru is scheduled for October 16, 2014 at 3:30 p.m.
starting at the Woodward
Parkway Elementary School
project site. Potential bidders are asked to gather at
the Woodward Parkway Elementary School front lobby at which time they shall
be escorted to all areas of
work. Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all potential
bidders attend.

that the Annual Fire District Budget Hearing will be
