Hurricane relief drop off point in Amityville

S.C. Leg., and Presiding Officer DuWyane Gregory will open his office to serve as a drop-off location for two  local relied drives benefitting victims of Hurricane Maria  in Puerto Rico.

Island Harvest, long Island’s largest hunger relief organization is working with its sister food bank, Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico in its emergency response work.

All non-perishable food is being accepted. Priority items include canned tuna, corned beef and chicken, peanut butter in plastic jars only, rice, shelf stable milk, evaporated milk, powdered milk, coffee creamers, dry only; crackers and saltines, first-aid items, insect repellent, batteries and small flashlights.
